Beyond Education

Drama

The theatre curriculum takes students on a journey of transformation, helping them connect deeply with others. Through creative play, storytelling, and stagecraft, students learn to communicate effectively, express themselves fluently, and understand the impact of body language. This curriculum builds confidence, empathy, and teamwork skills, offering a stage for exploring diverse roles, cultures, and emotions. It fosters a love for the performing arts and prepares students for a bright future in our global society.

    Theater and Drama Course
  • Course Focus
  • Our Theater and Drama course will cover everything from acting techniques to script analysis and stagecraft. I’m looking forward to guiding students through the basics of theater and helping them build a strong foundation in performing arts.
  • Performance Experience
  • Students will have numerous opportunities to perform, from school plays to drama workshops. These experiences will help them develop stage presence, confidence, and teamwork skills.
  • Creative Expression
  • The course will focus on fostering creative expression and collaboration. Through theater, students will learn to communicate effectively, think critically, and work together in a supportive environment.
    Grade 1: Storytelling and Emotions
  • For first graders, theater activities focus on basic storytelling and role-playing. Students will engage in simple dramatizations, which help them develop their imagination and express emotions. These activities also enhance their verbal communication skills and confidence in speaking.
  • Grade 2: Acting Techniques and Character Analysis
  • In second grade, students will begin to explore more structured drama activities, such as acting out short scripts and participating in improvisational games. They will learn basic acting techniques and work on creating their own short skits, which will help build their teamwork and performance skills.
  • Grade 3: Performance and Character Development
  • By third grade, students will be involved in more complex drama exercises, including performing in short plays and developing their own characters. They will learn about stagecraft and basic set design, and will have opportunities to perform in front of their peers and family, showcasing their developing skills.
