Computer Science Program

This is a breakdown of the computer science curriculum.

Grade 1
Our curriculum introduces age-appropriate technologies and applications, allowing students to experience basic programming and coding activities. They will also learn introductory word processing skills and develop simple keyboard familiarity.
Grade 2
Students will use age-appropriate technologies for research and critical thinking while following school rules for safe and ethical internet use. They will improve their basic programming and coding skills, practice two-handed keyboarding, and continue to learn basic word processing skills.
Grade 3
Students will enhance their word processing skills and increase keyboard speed and accuracy. They will use child-friendly Internet search engines for classroom research, improve their programming and coding abilities, and begin using spreadsheets for data collection and graphing, fostering a well-rounded digital proficiency.
